Application Representative (Software Sales Representative)

Job Description:

We are seeking an Application Representative who will be responsible for selling the company’s products and services. The Application Representative will spend considerable time talking with prospects, customers and partners to uncover sales opportunities. When found, the Application Representative will manage opportunities from beginning to end. The Application Representative will spend considerable time discussing the benefits of software technology in a telecom and unified communications environment. With Unimax’s extensive database, marketing programs and commission structure, motivated professionals have the opportunity to be extremely successful.

Location:

The Application Representative will work out of our downtown Minneapolis headquarters. This is a predominantly inside sales position with less than 10% travel required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop inquiries funneled from marketing through product fulfillment downloads, sales inquiries, and events into sales opportunities
  • Work with partners to generate strategic relationships which result in sales
  • Develop account plans for key accounts
  • Conduct (mostly) inside sales with prospects, following company’s sales process, including generating and qualifying leads, assessing opportunities by understanding the client’s telecom issues and needs, demonstrating software, proposing solutions, and closing sales
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in corporate CRM system
  • Conduct online meetings including software demonstrations
  • Participate at various trade association meetings and events
  • Generate prospects through cold calling and other marketing activities
  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales quota

Skills:

  • Able to convey customer requirements to product management and product development teams
  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and collaboration software
  • Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally to all levels of an organization
  • Ability to effectively identify client business requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership for solving problems and delivering on commitments

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of business to business, quota driven sales experience with either a software or telecom organization

Product Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a Product Manager who will be responsible for identifying, defining, planning, and delivering new and enhanced products and services to address the market needs in the unified communication space.  The Product Manager will spend time researching the market opportunities, talking with prospects, customers and partners, and working with engineering to clearly define the products and communicate the direction and benefits to both internal and external audiences.

The Product Manager will work out of our downtown Minneapolis headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire market research, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs to determine clear, prioritized opportunities for new products or enhancements to existing products
  • Develop business plans and product requirement documents to address market needs
  • Participate in the production and implementation of pricing strategies, positioning, messaging, promotions, and product life cycle strategies
  • Work to become the subject matter expert for your product line through development and delivery of technical presentations and sales staff training
  • Develop metrics to track the performance of the product in the market
  • Develop and maintain the product management budget

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Masters or MBA is not required, but beneficial
  • Experience gathering customer requirements and/or market analysis
  • Highly developed analytical skills and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to understand technical products
  • Self-motivated, inquisitive, and able to work independently
  • Familiarity with or willing to learn about enterprise unified communication systems from vendors such as Cisco, Avaya, Genesys, Plantronics, and Microsoft

Sales Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a Sales Engineer who will be responsible for relaying technical information to both potential customers and the sales team, primarily via product demonstrations. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with an understanding of software sales and telecom technology. Additionally, they must be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. They must be organized and analytical, with an ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Additionally, they should possess a genuine interest in technology and a desire to continue to learn.

The Software Development Engineer will work out of our downtown Minneapolis headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations; explaining products and services to customers and prospective customers
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide support
  • Responsible for development, delivery and maintenance of product demonstrations and collateral
  • Act as a technical resource and liaison between the sales force and potential customers

Skills:

Software Development Engineer (C++)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our team developing new product features and our next generation architecture in the area of unified communications management. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, passionate about solving customer problems, and able to work independently with little supervision. The ability to perform in multiple roles and the desire to learn new technologies is required.

Location:

The Software Development Engineer will work out of our downtown Minneapolis headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform full software product development lifecycle including requirements definition, design, implementation, unit testing and documentation
  • Take ownership for the development of one or more new product features and on-going support for those features
  • Work with a team to develop requirements and specifications for new products and features
  • Continually look for tools to optimize the development process and then integrate those tools into our development environment
  • Research new technologies and then integrate those technologies into our products

Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in computer science or a related field
  • 5+ years experience developing enterprise Windows applications using C++ or C#
  • Demonstrated experience using object oriented programming techniques
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Visual Studio development environment
  • Experienced with industry standard SCM tools such as Subversion
  • Familiar with Microsoft SQL
  • Familiar with or willing to learn enterprise telephony and messaging systems from vendors such as Cisco, Avaya, and Microsoft

Technical Support Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our Client Services team in assisting customers in the use of our UC Management Software Suite. The ideal candidate will be friendly, detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and be passionate about solving customer problems. The ability to work independently, perform in multiple roles, and the desire to learn new technologies is required.

Location:

The Software Development Engineer will work out of our downtown Minneapolis headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer customer calls and emails containing incident reports and questions related to Unimax software installations.  Training in Unimax products will be provided
  • Document and communicate customer issues using our trouble tracking system
  • Troubleshoot problems, develop workarounds, and communicate problem resolutions
  • Perform software installation and training services
  • Work to resolve multiple incidents in priority order while maintaining high customer satisfaction
  • Work with Product Development to recreate software issues, test fixes, and provide input for product enhancements and new features
  • Research and deploy new tools to optimize Client Services productivity

Qualifications:

  • Associate or higher degree in computer science or a related field
  • 2+ years customer service experience supporting software products
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Friendly and polite interpersonal style
  • Strong problem investigation and resolution skills
  • Familiar with or willing to learn enterprise telephony and messaging systems from vendors such as Cisco, Avaya, Nortel, and Microsoft
  • Microsoft Skype for Business and/or Lync Enterprise Voice knowledge a plus
  • Proficiency in technologies including Microsoft Windows, network infrastructure, SQL and IIS
