How 2nd Nature works
2nd Nature manages multiple communications systems through a federated database architecture. 2nd Nature connects to each managed system or device using the system’s own API. Through that API, 2nd Nature downloads a copy of the pertinent user and system profile data to be managed and stores it in a central offline database which resides on a PC or network server. 2nd Nature then synchronizes with the managed devices and serves as the single point of administration.
2nd Nature maps fields from the various managed devices to enable cross-system visibility and administrative operations. With 2nd Nature, administrators are able to:
- Analyze and manipulate information across voice systems
- Perform moves, adds, or changes immediately or schedule them for later execution
- Automatically propagate changes across interrelated databases
- Perform password resets
- Export data into spreadsheets and other desktop tools for analysis
