Unimax Announces 2nd Nature 6.5

New Active Directory Integration and Resource Management Functionality Enhance Leading Enterprise Voice Administration Solution

MINNEAPOLIS, January 3, 2008 - Unimax Systems Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise voice administration applications, today announced version 6.5 of its patented 2nd Nature® software. The latest release adds integration to Microsoft® Active Directory and delivers new resource management functionality while extending its support for industry-leading, brand-name telephone and voice messaging systems.

Microsoft Active Directory Integration
A directory service can now be configured within 2nd Nature, further helping to bridge converging voice and data environments. Native support for Microsoft Active Directory makes Active Directory attributes visible within the 2nd Nature interface. For example, e-mail addresses for users and groups can now be mapped to their corresponding phone extensions and voice mailbox numbers, providing a key step forward in the ability to leverage IP telephony to create communication-enabled business processes.

Resource Management
2nd Nature now enables telecom administrators to easily and systematically assign communication resources (such as extensions or voice mailboxes) to new users based on defined criteria like the user’s building or department. Organizations will leverage this functionality to eliminate more manual, error-prone methods of tracking and organizing their communication resources .
